For Rockin' Brunettes W/ Bangs
|[||Feelin' a bit-
Okay, sorry it's taken me so long to finally prove to you through
pictures that I in fact have brunette hair with bangs, but today is the
day at last. My damn camera still isn't working all the way but I have
some from previous occasions on my computer, so expect some more
up-to-date and not to mention less 'redish colored weird like' ones in
a little while :). In other words better color pictures coming
This is picture my friend took of me for her photo class, I really like
it so I decided to post this one but I'll have more of what I actually
look like most of the time in a few days.
Well their isn't a name for light brown so I alwas assumed that was brunette as well... Depends on the person's opinion I guess!

Thanks! Most dictionaries define brunet(te) as having dark-brown or black hair, or just having dark-brown hair. Some dictionaries say having brown or black hair/ or dark or brown hair which seems to imply that brunette applies to any shade of brown hair, as well as black hair. Others just say having dark hair, which light brown hair isn't really dark or relatively dark, unless if you compare it to a blond's hair. I've seen two dictionary definitions of brunette as: A woman with brown hair and another that said (a) woman with brown hair.
Allwords.com defines brunette something like: A woman or girl with brown or dark hair and as an adjective Said of hair Colour: Brown, usually dark brown.
It doesn't matter too much... it's just a Live Journal Community

Well, yeah it doesn't matter that much because it's a Live Journal Community, but it's nice to know for sure what the complete definiton of brunette. If a person thinks that brunette just applies to a girl or woman with dark-brown hair, then he/she doesn't really know the meaning of the word because it doesn't just apply to dark-brown hair, although that's the color it's most associated with.
